Go Green SG Returns in Support of the Year of Climate Adaptation
4 May 2026
The Go Green SG movement returns for its 4th edition from 11 May to 28 June 2026. Some 500 partners from across the People, Private and Public (3P) sectors are organising more than 1,000 initiatives, including new and behind-the-scenes exclusive activities, to rally Singaporeans to take climate action.
Go Green SG returns this year from 11 May to 28 June in support of the Year of Climate Adaptation. Led by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) alongside partners from the 3P sectors, Go Green SG is our whole-of-nation movement to rally citizens, businesses and the community to take collective action towards a more environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient Singapore.
This year’s Go Green SG will feature more than 1,000 activities by some 500 partners, including initiatives to educate the public on the impacts of climate change, the need for climate adaptation and how we can each play our part.
Supporting the Year of Climate Adaptation
Climate change is one of the greatest threats facing mankind and Singapore. We are already experiencing its effects, from rising temperatures to more frequent intense rainfall. MSE has designated 2026 as the Year of Climate Adaptation to make climate action a national priority, and galvanise the support of communities and businesses in building collective resilience against the impacts of climate change.
Go Green SG 2026 activities
In support of the Year of Climate Adaptation, corporates, community groups, schools, IHLs and public agencies have curated a suite of diverse activities for their stakeholders and the public. For example, Sentosa Development Corporation and the National Environment Agency are jointly organising new guided tours which allow participants to explore biodiversity and conservation efforts at Sentosa Nature Discovery, discover how microforests and cool nodes keep visitors cool on the island, and learn about sustainable practices at Siloso Beach Resort.
In exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of Cloop’s sorting facility at APSN Centre for Adults, participants will explore circularity in practice through the sorting of donated clothing for repair, reuse, upcycling and recycling. They will also learn practical heat adaptation tips, including how to choose clothes made from natural materials better suited to Singapore’s climate.
Other activities where the public can learn about climate adaptation include tours of the Earth Observatory of Singapore which showcase how research translates into real-world applications. Participants will join workshops to brainstorm ideas on tackling rising sea levels. The Sustainability Youth Festival by EB Impact offers our youths a platform to deepen their understanding of climate adaptation through a competition and interactive booths. A Seeds of Change Carnival by Agape Little Uni @ Gambas, led by young preschoolers, will engage local communities on climate adaptation.
The Green Futures Hub by Terra SG and Metropolitan YMCA offers an experiential space for participants to consider real-world climate adaptation scenarios, while SAFRA Choa Chu Kang’s Sustainability Fest features activities on energy conservation to encourage and nudge climate-conscious living. Just Keep Thinking and Stridy’s beach clean-up sessions at East Coast Park will introduce participants to climate adaptation features in our living environment.
Collaborating for Greater Outreach and Impact
Collaborations have enabled Go Green SG partners to widen their reach and deliver greater impact, with corporates, schools, community organisations and government agencies joining hands to offer participants meaningful and diverse immersive experiences.
This year, Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific is partnering Semula to run recycling workshops to deepen public understanding of plastic waste recycling and demonstrate how recycled materials get a new lease of life as everyday objects. River Valley High School and the People’s Association’s Boon Lay Youth Network are co-organising an Eco-Bazaar featuring upcycling, item swapping and eco-crafting activities to encourage the community to rethink consumption patterns and give pre-loved items a second life.
Cora Environment and A*STAR will bring participants on learning journeys to an Energy-from-Waste Plant and the Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment on Jurong Island, where they will learn how waste is transformed into energy and materials to support Singapore’s circular economy. Thought Partner Eco and Temasek Shophouse are also partnering to screen ACTionism, a film exploring climate anxiety experienced by a youth, alongside experiential game-based workshops to help youths and the public better appreciate trade-offs between economic growth and environmental impact.
Diverse Range of Activities for Every Interest
Each year, Go Green SG offers wide-ranging activities catering to different interests. Earthopia Fest, organised by City Sprouts, is Singapore’s largest youth-led sustainability festival. It connects youths who want to do their part for sustainability and encourages sustainable living through hands-on workshops, panel discussions and thematic activities. For fashionistas, Singapore Fashion Council’s escape-room style workshops expose participants to the environmental and social impacts of denim production and showcases the fashion industry’s transformation towards being more eco-friendly. Foodies can partake in activities surrounding urban gardening, while enjoying their favourite local delights at hawker centres managed by FairPrice Group’s Kopitiam.
The public can find out more about Go Green SG 2026 activities at www.gogreen.gov.sg from 4 May, and sign up from 8 May 2026.
