Misuse of MSE logo in fraudulent carbon credit trading scam
26 June 2025
The purported scam misuses Government agency logos to mislead users into signing up for a crypto address and depositing funds for trading carbon credits.
MSE would like to alert the public to a scam involving the misuse of MSE's logo. Individuals would be asked to add a crypto address and deposit funds for trading carbon credits. They will receive emails containing login credentials and a certificate bearing the logos of the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE), Ministry of National Development (MND), Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), along with links to download an app and access a website.
This is a scam. MSE, MND, MOT and MTI are not affiliated with any such carbon credit trading applications. If you receive such invitation emails and would like to verify its authenticity, please call the MSE hotline at 1800-738-4622. If you are a victim of such a scam, please file a police report.
