Our Climate-Ready Home: Immersive & Interactive Exhibition On Climate Adaptation
24 October 2026
Singapore's roving climate adaptation exhibition invites Singaporeans to experience what climate change (hotter days, heavier rain, dry spells and rising seas) means for our everyday lives, businesses and communities. Discover how we can adapt and take collective action to keep our homes and our neighbourhoods resilient. Together, we can protect all that we hold dear in a changing climate.
In support of the Year of Climate Adaptation (opens in new tab), the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) and partnering government agencies will launch Our Climate-Ready Home, a roving exhibition at three heartland locations from 24 October to 22 November 2026, starting at One Punggol. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Trade) Gan Kim Yong will attend the launch event as the Guest-of-Honour. The launch event will also be attended by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu. Students from Mee Toh School will join in the launch as part of the Punggol community.
Making Singapore our climate-ready home
Rising temperatures, drier weather, more intense rainfall and higher sea levels caused by climate change will disrupt the daily routines of individuals, supply chains of businesses, and infrastructure and services our communities rely on. Singapore is developing our first National Adaptation Plan (NAP), to be released next year. The NAP will serve as a long-term, living strategy to ensure Singapore continues to thrive in the face of climate change.
The development of our NAP involves a comprehensive review of our adaptation measures across key domains including heat resilience, coastal and flood resilience, water and food resilience, and our built and natural environment. Our ongoing National Adaptation Conversations bring together stakeholders across businesses, academia, community groups, youths and other stakeholders to co-create and shape the way forward. Engagements range from focus group discussions and community dialogues to sector-specific sessions and public events. We are also inviting views, through our online feedback form. Our Climate-Ready Home exhibition is a further platform for Singaporeans to participate and bring their perspectives into our national conversation.
Adaptation in action
Set against the familiar backdrop of an HDB estate, the exhibition brings climate adaptation closer to home, showing how Singapore is preparing for a changing climate and how everyone can play a part. Curated alongside our People, Private and Public (3P) sector partners, the exhibition takes visitors through our collective efforts to build a climate-ready Singapore, including stories from communities and businesses. Visitors will also discover the aspirations and ideas shared by fellow Singaporeans through the ongoing National Adaptation Conversations.
The exhibition includes a Ground-Up Partners’ Showcase, featuring climate adaptation ideas and solutions from our youths, communities and corporates. They include TerraCool, a terracotta shelter designed by ITE College Central to cool shared spaces in a sustainable way, and Living Seawalls, an initiative by engineering and consulting firm Witteveen+Bos that repurposes discarded oyster shells for coastal protection and biodiversity enhancement. Visitors to the exhibition at One Punggol can also pick up fresh local produce at SAFEF’s co-located SG Farmers' Market®, to support local farms and play their part for Singapore’s food resilience.
Meet our mascots and interactive experiences
As part of the exhibition experience, the public can look forward to engaging with characters who will take visitors through everyday lived experiences with climate change and highlight actions we can take to adapt. Families and young visitors can also look forward to photo opportunities with MSE Family mascots, including Water Wally and Sally from PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, Captain Green from the National Environment Agency (NEA), and the Singapore Farmed Forces of Seabasstian Water, Eggs Benedette C and Caixinderella from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). Visitors can expect fun and educational activities and games to learn more about climate adaptation and win prizes along the way.
