Written Reply to Parliamentary Question on Cooked Food Stall Licensing by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment.
Question:
Ms Sylvia Lim: To ask the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment whether stallholders selling cooked food should be required to undergo basic fire safety training before being licensed.
Answer:
The National Environment Agency partners with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the National Fire and Emergency Preparedness Council to regularly engage and educate stall operators in hawker centres, including cooked food stallholders, on how to prevent and respond to fire emergencies.
